My Approach

I am passionate about supporting people to feel understood, empowered, and more connected to themselves and others. I work collaboratively with clients to create a safe, respectful, and compassionate therapeutic relationship where challenges can be explored without judgment. My approach is grounded in curiosity, empathy, and a strong belief that people do well when they can. I place a strong emphasis on developing a thorough understanding of each individual and, where relevant, the broader family context. I support clients to draw on their own strengths, values, and internal resources to navigate difficulties and create meaningful, lasting change.

My practice is neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTIQA+ affirming. I recognise and respect the many diverse ways people experience and relate to the world and strive to offer an inclusive and supportive space for clients of all identities and neurotypes.

I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and tailor interventions to suit each client’s unique needs and goals. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and Motivational Interviewing. I also have experience facilitating group therapy and have received training in parenting programs such as the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) and Tuning in to Kids.

In addition to therapy, I conduct learning and cognitive assessments across the lifespan, including the use of standardised tools such as the WPPSI, WISC, WAIS, WIAT, and other measures. These assessments aim to provide a clear understanding of cognitive strengths and areas of support to inform learning, development, and wellbeing.

About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of mental health concerns. Over the course of my career, I have worked in both public and private settings, including hospitals, schools, and specialist clinics. My previous roles include work at the Royal Children’s Hospital within the Child and Family Psychology Clinic and Learning Differences Centre, as well as Austin Health’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and Schools Early Action Program. I have also worked closely with schools to support students, families, and educators.

More recently, my work has included roles at Melbourne Children’s Psychology Clinic, where I contributed to the Selective Mutism Clinic and Hair Pulling (Trichotillomania) Clinic, and at The Melbourne Clinic as part of the Eating Disorders Program, where I supported adolescents and adults with complex presentations. Through these roles, I have developed broad clinical experience across the lifespan, with particular interest in the treatment of adults navigating anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, and identity-related challenges.

While I continue to value my work with children and families, I am increasingly focused on adolescent and adult psychological therapy, offering a warm, evidence-based, and collaborative approach to support clients through a range of life transitions and mental health difficulties.
