MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT 

The fee for a standard 50-minute individual consultation is $260. For sessions conducted off-site, an additional travel fee will apply.

 

Clients with a valid referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a General Practitioner or Psychiatrist may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per session, for up to ten sessions per calendar year. Of these, a maximum of two sessions may be used for family or carers without the individual named on the referral and care plan attending. You can find further information about Medicare rebates on the Australian Psychological Society and Department of Health websites.

Clients with private health insurance are encouraged to check with their provider regarding coverage and rebates for Clinical Psychology services.

COGNITIVE AND ACADEMIC ASSESSMENTS

Assessment sessions are charged at $300 per session for tests such as the WISC or WAIS (intelligence/cognitive assessments) and the WIAT (academic/learning assessment). Typically, each assessment requires two sessions to complete. There is an additional fee for the assessment report; please contact for a personalised quote. Please note that Medicare rebates are not available for these assessment sessions.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Please provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment without incurring a fee. Notice must be given during business hours. For example, to reschedule a Monday appointment, notice must be provided before the close of business on the preceding Friday. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled consultation charge. Failure to attend without notice will incur the full fee.
