Adults

Life involves numerous stressors, including issues with family, parenting, relationships, career, and finances to name but a few. My job is to try to help you manage problems from situational and personal issues to clinical conditions such as anxiety, eating disorders and depression.

With the numerous responsibilities of adulthood, it can become easy to neglect your self care, and specifically your mental health, even though this can actually result in your issues worsening. This can eventually impact upon the areas of life you are trying to remain in control of and manage effectively. Talking about your problems with someone that is impartial and trained in evidence-based strategies, without having to censor sensitive details, can be both liberating and cathartic. Intervention can broaden your perspective and provide space between you and your issues, helping you to approach and eventually overcome the stressor impacting upon your wellbeing. Most importantly, this process will typically enable you to develop new, healthy coping strategies to manage both current and future problems.
